  Efficient and effective operation of the modern dozer can have a significant impact on mine safety and productivity. The bulldozer has a set of crucial roles in the mining cycle, from ground levelling and overburden clearing to ore and waste loading for removal. The CYBERMINE range of bulldozer simulators promotes safety of operation and consistently high levels of operator efficiency by using state-of-the-art simulation techniques.
CYBERMINE bulldozer simulators come in both the tracked and wheeled types and are designed to hone and evaluate dozing, carrying, spreading and ripping techniques, depending on the specific equipment and blade type being simulated.
The CYBERMINE bulldozer simulators are delivered with a highly realistic, 3D operating mine world, complete with artificially intelligent automated equipment such as trucks, shovels, surface rigs and LDV's to support the dozer training and evaluation process. An optional large rear screen display fitted internal to the base-unit of the simulator provides for out-of-cab views while reversing or ripping.
All simulated equipment dynamics are mathematically modelled to provide accurate behavioural realism. ThoroughTec’s advanced soil interaction models for dozing allow the instructor to specify its cutting and traction properties, requiring the operator to exercise correct propulsion, blade and ripper articulation techniques for the various terrain types in order to obtain effective results.
Simulator Exercises may be configured to address various training requirements, including operations with different soil types, handling of subterranean boulders, ramp construction, varying weather conditions, night operations, sub-system failures and advanced emergency situations.
The operator’s set of dozing actions are continually monitored and recorded, including blade articulation, blade load and track slippage, together with adherence to safety procedures, correct equipment handling techniques and response to emergency situations and failures. These performance reports together with the instructor’s after-action review capability provide a complete training and evaluation system.
