Underground ADT Simulators |

  For the past several decades, Articulated Dump Trucks (ADTs) have been used to profitably carry heavy loads of ore in underground mining environments. It is a known fact that poor ADT operator skills and habits can have a significant impact on safety and productivity in underground mining operations.
CYBERMINE Underground ADT Simulators are designed to provide an excellent ADT operator training and refresher system for Articulated Dump Truck operators in underground mining operations without removing productive vehicles from the operations cycle. Without doubt, skilled ADT operators increase productivity, lower operating costs and reduce safety violations.
The CYBERMINE underground truck simulator operator is immersed in a highly realistic, operating, 3D simulated underground mine world, projected on three wide screen displays located about the ADT operator’s cab. The entire ADT cab is replicated to original equipment manufacturer specifications ensuring all instruments and controls are correctly located about the truck operator.
The 3D underground mine simulation world comes complete with tunnels, loading points, chutes and dumping areas. Artificially intelligent LHDs, ADTs, bolters miners and other such simulated entities exist in the world in support of the ADT operator training and evaluation process.
All ADT simulator behavioural dynamics are based on detailed mathematical models that use equipment manufacturer specifications to provide accurate behavioural realism. As a result, full loading, hauling, reversing and dumping capability is included with each ADT simulation.
The CYBERMINE Underground ADT Simulator system continually monitors and records the ADT operator’s performance, in terms of cycle times, processed tonnage, adherence to safety procedures, correct equipment handling techniques and response to emergency situations and sub-system failures. These performance reports together with the instructor’s after-action review capability provide a complete underground mine truck operator training and evaluation system.
Highly efficient and effective training is therefore realised on the ADT simulator with no loss of production and no danger of accidents, even in the most complex of emergency situations to which the ADT operator might be expected to respond.
The CYBERMINE Underground ADT Simulator range simulates heavy equipment from all major manufacturers such as Caterpillar (CAT), Sandvik and Atlas Copco.
