ThoroughTec, the South African vehicle and aircraft simulator manufacturer, has delivered the world’s first Articulated Dump Truck (ADT) simulator to the Learnia Training Academy in Benoni.  The unit is part of a nationwide programme to train drivers and operators of heavy construction, earthmoving and mining vehicles. Additional simulators will be installed at dedicated training centres in each province.

Says ThoroughTec’s managing director, Robert Letschert: “These will be crucial for the successful and on-time completion of massive construction programmes getting under way across the country in preparation for the 2010 World Cup”.
