For underground ThoroughTec offers LHD’s mine trucks, drills, roof bolters and its latest, an underground locomotive simulator, the latest module in its CYBERMINE™ range.  The simulator was requested by two existing ThoroughTec CYBERMINE clients, both of which placed orders for the new unit.

Mining equipment simulators are now used extensively in operator training without exposing costly equipment to novices. The latest to be developed is an underground locomotive simulator from South Africa's Throroughtec.
South African mine simulator specialist, Thoroughbred Technologies (ThoroughTec) is to launch the latest module in its CYBERMINE™ range of simulators with an underground locomotive simulator for use in training of new operators.  The simulator was requested by two existing ThoroughTec CYBERMINE™ clients, both of which have placed orders for the new unit.

New Simulator Purchase
Mining Industry Skills Centre Newsletter - May 2008   

This new addition will give the resources industry access to a technically superior simulator which has never before been available to the Australian sector.

The simulator, a Komatsu 830e (electric truck) has excellent reporting capabilities, an advanced trainer interface and a fast console change-out, making it ideal for large training situations.
The ThoroughTec simulator is the latest addition to the Skills Centre’s existing fleet of 18 5DT simulators, purchased in June 2006 using funds provided by the State Government.
