The effective training of operators of drill rig machinery in mining operations is essential for optimising productivity, improving safety and minimising operating costs. Mistakes made in the drilling cycle have extensive downstream cost implications throughout the mining operation. In light of this, the CyberMINE™ drill rig simulator system has been developed in collaboration with several of the larger drill rig equipment manufacturers to provide for the training, re-training and evaluation of operators of this equipment in an underground mining environment.
