RESPONDING TO
COVID-19
At ThoroughTec our priority is the health and safety of our staff, customers and suppliers.
RISING TO THE CHALLENGE
The COVID-19 pandemic continues to spread around the world and while International responses have varied, they have followed a broad trend of isolation and containment. These measures have severely destabilised global supply chains and disrupted global logistic and travel networks.
In the face of this unprecedented challenge, we must prioritise the health and safety of our staff, customers and suppliers, while striving to maintain service delivery levels and ensure the stability and growth of our business. To this end, we have followed international guidelines and best practice in the establishment of a dedicated Covid-19 management committee, with a mandate to oversee the adoption of risk mitigation controls across all areas of our business.
In line with South African Government policy and directives, ThoroughTec has secured permission to continue business operations under the National State of Emergency, subject to the following conditions:
- Limited international travel
- Adoption of remote work posture wherever practicable
- Enforcement of strict transmission and hygiene controls in the workplace
While these circumstances challenge our ability to maintain service levels and project delivery schedules, we are doing everything in our power, to mitigate these risks.
Status of Operations as at 01st November 2020
As a result of ongoing international travel restrictions, our Technical Support Department, is still severely limited in its ability to conduct on-site visits and service call-outs, but will do so wherever possible. To the extent your particular location is still isolated, the team is available 24/7 to provide remote support and assistance via your regular support communication channels.
Our Project Management team is working between home and the ThoroughTec campus to drive the highest possible level of service and project delivery under these trying circumstances. All project managers are available day and night to respond to any queries you may have regarding the status of your particular project.
Our on-campus Manufacturing Department is fully operational, albeit at slightly reduced levels of efficiency as a result of workplace transmission controls, logistical backlogs and supply chain disruption.
Our entire R&D contingent, which includes the Software, 3D Art and Electro-Mechanical Design departments has successfully transitioned to a 100% remote work posture and is operating at a very high level of efficiency, from home.
For new Sales enquiries, please send an email to info@thoroughtec.com or feel free to contact any one of our regional Business Development Managers, who, while limited in their ability to travel, are fully operational and equipped to assist you remotely.
Please accept my personal thanks for your continued support and don’t hesitate to contact me or your regular ThoroughTec representative, should you require any additional information or assistance.
Stay safe and flatten the curve!
