Articulated Dump Truck Simulators
CYBERMINE ADT Simulators simulate all models from all OEMs, along with OEM optional features and third party subsystems.
For the past several decades, Articulated Dump Trucks (ADTs) have been used to profitably carry heavy loads fast over rough terrain in mining environments. It is a known fact that poor ADT driver skills and habits can have a significant impact on safety and productivity in ADT operations.
The CYBERMINE range of mining ADT simulators is designed to provide an excellent ADT operator training and refresher tool for ADT operators in the mining industry without removing productive vehicles from the operations cycle. Without doubt, skilled ADT operators increase productivity, lower operating costs and significantly reduce safety violations.
The CYBERMINE Articulated Dump Truck Simulator range simulates heavy equipment from all major manufacturers such as Bell, Caterpillar (CAT), JCB, John Deere, Komatsu and Terex and Volvo.
“We need to get the most out of our ADT fleet, and have found that simulation training allows us to achieve this.”
Accurate Vehicle Dynamics
Simulated Articulated Dump Truck behavioural dynamics are based on detailed mathematical models that use equipment manufacturer specifications to provide accurate realism. As a result, full loading, hauling, reversing and dumping capability is included with each CYBERMINE ADT simulator.
Virtual Mine Worlds
The CYBERMINE Articulated Dump Truck Simulator immerses the ADT operator in a highly realistic, 3D simulated mine world which is projected on three wide screen displays located about the ADT operator’s cab. All ADT instruments and controls are closely replicated to original equipment manufacturer specifications, providing the operator with a highly realistic simulated ADT cab with which to learn correct dump truck operating procedures.
Customised 3D own mine worlds which simulate your actual mine site, including mine haul routes, crusher buildings and loading areas are available on request.
Training and Evaluation Tools
CYBERMINE ADT Simulator exercises may be configured to address various ADT operator training requirements, including weather conditions, other automated entities, low visibility and night operations, sub-system failures and advanced emergency situations.
The CYBERMINE ADT Simulator continually monitors truck operator performance, recording cycle times, processed tonnage, adherence to safety procedures, correct equipment handling techniques and response to emergency situations and failures. The resultant performance reports together with the instructor’s after-action review facility provide a complete ADT operator training and evaluation system.
Highly efficient and effective training is therefore realised on the CYBERMINE Articulated Dump Truck simulator with no loss of production and no danger of accidents, even in the most complex of emergency situations to which the ADT simulator operator might be expected to respond.
Advanced Training Tools
Instructors have the ability to activate various advanced driver training tools depending on the skill level of the student ADT operator. Training tools include reverse aids to assist ADT operators in aligning with shovels and excavators, various other Head Up Display (HUD) options and mission planners to guide ADT operators through the mine world and teach the various routes and cycles.
