OPERATOR FAMILIARISATION TRAINERS
Enhancing mining operators’ psycho-motor skills, mining equipment machine knowledge and operational procedures.
CONTROL FAMILIARISATION
The CYBERMINE Operator Familiarisation Trainer or OFT is a supplementary system, intended to develop and entrench advanced, mine operator psycho-motor skills. It gives the trainee heavy equipment operator a chance to get familiar with the mining vehicle’s instruments and controls and all their functions before progressing to full mission simulation. The OFT is designed to accommodate those CYBERMINE high-fidelity interchangeable mining vehicle cabs not actively engaged in hi-fidelity full-mission simulator training.
INTERACTIVE ACTIVITIES
Trainee mining equipment operators interface with the OFT via an adjustable touch-screen display and through the various controls and instruments of the replicated cab. All the switches, buttons, gauges, joysticks or steering wheel are accurately replicated. As always, mine operators are continuously evaluated throughout the entire process to keep them engaged and to entrench procedures.
GUARANTEED FAMILIARITY
The OFT guarantees complete mine operator orientation within and familiarity with their mining equipment. This ensures that training time in the upcoming practical, full-mission simulator phase is optimally spent on advanced operational tasks and skills rather than on low-level formative training and control familiarisation.
ENHANCE WITH A COMPLETE TRAINING SOLUTION
The Operator Familiarisation Trainer forms an integral part of the CYBERMINE heavy equipment workforce optimisation solution, which also includes e-learning computer-based training and the high-fidelity CYBERMINE Full Mission Simulator (FMS).
Integrating these CYBERMINE mine training technologies into a truly blended learning and continuous improvement system is the CYBERMINE Learning Management System or LMS. The LMS serves to intelligently link all CYBERMINE mine training products together and provide a universal, network-based system interface for mine users. The LMS gives mine instructors the ability to intuitively design, control and monitor the workforce development process for each individual equipment operator passing through the CYBERMINE workforce optimisation system. At the same time it provides mine managers and other senior workforce performance stakeholders with an insight into the human-performance trends affecting mine productivity targets and safety issues.
