WASM Chooses ThoroughTec
MININGNEWS.NET – JULY 2012
The Western Australian School of Mines has bought fourth generation Thoroughtec full mission simulators and several machine cabs. WASM aims to integrate the simulators into its curriculum. The simulators are intended to provide a greater understanding of advanced training techniques, of how to operate a range of equipment and develop practical skills. WASM believes it will be the first learning institution in the region to integrate a simulator into an academic mining engineering course. ThoroughTec and WASM will be giving visitors to this year’s Diggers and Dealers forum in Kalgoorlie the opportunity to test drive the simulator.
